June 6: National Trails Day
June 6: National Trails Day at Lake Sakakawea State Park and Visitors Appreciation Day. Vehicle entrance fee waived.
June 6: National Trails Day at Beaver Lake State Park. Joint a ranger for a guided hike on the newly renovated Nature Trail. After the guided hike, take the opportunity to explore other portions of the Beaver Lake State Park trail system on your own. Meet at the park swim beach at 10 a.m.
June 6: Cross Ranch Visitor Appreciation Day. Vehicle entrance fee waived.
June 6: National Trails Day at Icelandic State Park. Guided hikes on a portion of the Bluebird Nesting Box Trail at 9:30 a.m., through the Gunlogson Nature Preserve at 4 p.m., and a night hike at dusk.
June 6: National Trails Day at Fort Stevenson State Park. A ranger guided hike through the park's native prairie will start at 2 p.m. North Dakota bird checklist is available. Hike will start at the Guardhouse Interpretive Center.
June 6-8: HALLOWEEN IN JUNE at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. Trick or treating, costume parade, games, face painting and much more.Held in the campgrounds. For a full schedule click on the link.
June 11-13: Artist in Residency at Turtle River State Park. This event, sponsored by the ND Council on the Arts, will feature Grand Forks artist Adam Kemp who will provide a unique perspective and hands-on activities related to hsi art
June 12-14: GEOCACHING EVENT at Fort Stevenson State Park. For the first time at Fort Stevenson State Park, it hosting a GeoCaching Event. This is a state wide geocaching event that will allow presenters to speak about different aspects of Geocaching. Hands on classes will be presented so the participants get a good idea of how the units operate. The group will be hiding some temporary caches in different areas of the park. June 13: Saturday night at Icelandic State Park's Akra Hall event with music and dinner.
June 19-20:19th Annual Missouri River Bluegrass Festival featuring the High 48s. Performances also by Spiritwood Creek, New Horizon, Stoney Run, Simple Infant Men, and more. Kids Fest will also take place during the festival with activities Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening.
June 20: Turtlefest at Turtle River State Park and Visitors Appreciation Day. Free entrance to the park, along with a full slate of fun family events.
June 21: 8th Annual Bullhead Fishing Tournament/Visitor Appreciation Day at Beaver Lake State Park. Sign in at the tent by the boat ramp. Fishing starts at 9 a.m. with weigh-in at 2 p.m. Hot dogs, chips, watermelon and pop will be served while supplies last. Contact Beaver Lake State Park for more information, 701-452-2752.

June 20: National Trails Day at Grahams Island State Park. Take a hike on the trails with one of the interpreters, starting at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m.
June 21: State Park Day at Grahams Island State Park. Free daily vehicle admission to the park.
June 27-28: Devils Lake Chamber Walleye Fishing Tournament at Grahams Island State Park. There will be 150 teams competing in the two-day event.
June 27-28: Fort Stevenson Frontier Military Days. From 1 to 4 p.m. each day there will be living history demontrations with a military encampment and maneuvers. Skills and crafts of the Indian Wars period will be on display. Visit the Fort's Guardhouse Interpretive Center. For more information call 701-337-5576.
June 28: Fort Stevenson State Park Appreciation Day. Free admission to the park.
