- Notes: Set in the Turtle Mountains, Lake Metigoshe State Park is home to rolling hills, aspen forest and lakes. The park has 8.5 miles of multi-use trails and a 3 mile self-guided interpretive trail (
Trail Map (pdf 125k)). These trails run through aspen forests and across wetlands and attract a wide variety of wildlife and plants. Come on out and hike the trails. Take the bird and plant checklists with you on your hike. See what species you can spot.
