- Outdoor Learning Centers: Outdoor Learning Center programs are available at Lake Metigoshe, Turtle River and Cross Ranch state parks. Each center offers ecology, conservation, cultural and recreational programming in an outdoor setting.
- Volunteering: Retired or have summers free, consider volunteering to work in a North Dakota State Park as a Campground Host. In exchange for working a one to three month period, hosts receive free, full-service camping for the duration of their stay.
