Looking for an outdoor adventure? We've selected a few for you to explore.
Biking. Whether you're looking for a short trek on a paved bike trail, a long-distance ride out on North Dakota's scenic highways, or an exciting off-road mountain bike ride, North Dakota has a route to meet your quest.
CANDISC. Cycling around North Dakota in Sakakawea Country is a week-long bike trip that beings and ends at Fort Stevenson State Park the first week in August every year.
Canoeing rivers. We've selected eight North Dakota rivers... the Knife, Little Missouri, Missouri, Pembina, Red, Sheyenne, Souris and Yellowstone... for your canoeing adventure, and provided details of lengths, travel time, hazards and launch sites.
Cross country skiing. Find state parks with cross country ski trails. Updated trail conditions can also be found here during the winter season.
Geocaching. Use your GPS skills for this high tech treasure hunt.
Horseback riding. Four North Dakota state parks have facilities for bringing your horses out to explore park trails.
