Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership Program
Status: Closed
The Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership Program is targeting projects that would acquire and/or develop public land for outdoor recreation purposes located within or serving jurisdictions delineated by the US Census Bureau from the 2020 Census as having populations of 30,000 or more people with priority given to projects located in economically disadvantaged areas lacking in outdoor recreation opportunities. These awards help underserved communities address outdoor recreation deficits by supporting projects in cities and densely populated urbanized areas that create new outdoor recreation spaces, reinvigorate existing parks, and form connections between people and the outdoors. LWCF Competitive Grants may be used for the acquisition or development (or a combination) of lands and facilities that will provide outdoor recreation opportunities to the public.
