Artist in Residency Program
The North Dakota Parks & Recreation Department and the North Dakota Council on the Arts are accepting applications online through April 1 for an Artist in Residency program within the North Dakota State Parks. The Artist in Residency program offers artists the opportunity to stay and work in unique environments where they’ll draw inspiration from a North Dakota State Park, demonstrate their skills and assist park visitors of all ages in discovering their artistic side. Donate a Tree
Trees and shrubs are unique gifts that keep growing. Trees serve as living links to state park history and are beneficial assets to quality recreational experiences. Plantings offer families, friends and business associates an opportunity to commemorate loved ones and fellow employees while enhancing the natural beauty of North Dakota State Parks. Donations received prior to July 30 will be planted that same year, dependent on available tree stock. Donations received after July 30 will be planted the following year.

North Dakota Century Code sections 55-08-01.3 and 55-08-05 give authority to the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department to make and enforce rules that apply to all areas which are under the control of or operated by the department.

Limits to Landowner Liability
North Dakota Century Code (NDCC) 53-08 protects landowners and local government by limiting the liability they may incur from public recreation on their property.
Title VI
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 ensures that no person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination, including sex, age, disability, low-income, or LEP discrimination, under any program or activity for which the Recipient receives Federal financial assistance. It is the policy of the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes or regulation in all programs and activities.
