Fort Ransom State Park is looking forward to welcoming guest speaker Dr. Bob Anderson of Valley City State University for a special birding hike and Prairie Birds Presentation on July 31. Check out other bird-themed events happening all weekend long.
Friday, July 30
4-6 p.m. Sunne Farm Tour
8 p.m. Valley View Trail: Meet at the scenic overlook for a "Prairie Bird Walk"
Saturday, July 31
9-10 a.m. Coffee with the Camp Host at site 27
10 a.m. Sunne Farm Tour
1 p.m. Storytime: "Good morning, birds!" and activities at the Visitor Center
2 p.m. Game: "Get to know your mammals"
4-5 p.m. Guided Bird Hike starting at the Visitor Center. Enjoy a birding hike with Dr. Bob Anderson, a professor from Valley City State University. Make sure to bring binoculars!
8 p.m. Presentation on "Prairie Birds" by Dr. Bob Anderson at the Visitor Center. Dr. Anderson is an Ornithologist and specializes in wildlife.
Sunday, August 1
10 a.m. Morning Bird Hike starting at Abel's Hole Picnic Shelter
1-3 p.m. Sunne Farm Tour
