Fort Stevenson State Park
Experience the sweetest tradition of spring at Fort Stevenson State Park’s Maple Sugaring Day! Expanded to two days this year, join us on Saturday, April 11 from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM or Sunday, April 12 from 12:00–3:00 PM for this much-anticipated event.
Discover the fascinating journey from sap to syrup through engaging presentations offered both days, and bring the whole family for fun, hands-on activities designed especially for kids. Enjoy live entertainment featuring Moon Cats on Saturday and Peyton Lily on Sunday. With history, learning, and delicious treats all in one place, it’s an event you won’t want to miss! The event is free of charge and open to the public. An annual or daily vehicle permit is required for park entrance and can be purchased online or at the park.
New This Year: We’re excited to introduce the Fort Stevenson State Park Sap Run 5K!

This scenic trail run welcomes runners, joggers, and walkers of all levels. A portion of registration proceeds will support youth outdoor education at Fort Stevenson State Park. Registration required.

Post race snack will be provided.
Race participants are encouraged to stay and enjoy Maple Sugaring Day from noon to 3 PM. Hit the trail, cross the finish line, and stick around for the festivities. It’s the perfect blend of fitness and fun!
