There is no better way to celebrate and appreciate the hard work put into North Dakota’s trail systems than on National Trails Day, June 5. This event is a nationwide effort that encourages everyone to explore and advocate for trails. Take the opportunity to participate in a volunteer trail project, collect litter, or join in a guided hike or trail activity all while finding physical, mental, and emotional restoration.
Hiking events are being held at these locations:
- Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park
- Fort Ransom State Park
- Fort Stevenson State Park
- Grahams Island State Park
- Icelandic State Park
- Lake Metigoshe State Park
- Lake Sakakawea State Park
- Lewis & Clark State Park
- Turtle River State Park
With over 200 miles of non-motorized trails and over 40 miles of off-highway vehicle trails across North Dakota, we have a trail for everyone!
