National Trails Day - Lake Metigoshe

Be a part of a two-day National Trails Day celebration at Lake Metigoshe State Park. On Friday, May 31, there will be a guided hike on ND’s first National Recreation Trail, the Old Oak Trail. This hike will start at 7:00 p.m. at the warming house. On Saturday, June 1, there will be a Dakota Explorers program for kids of all ages. This program will begin at 2 p.m. at the park’s amphitheater. There will also be a night hike on Saturday, June 1, beginning at 10:00 p.m., meet at the warming house. For even some more fun, join in on the weekend scavenger hunt. If you find a painted rock, (1 rock/household) bring it to the office and win a goodie bag.
