Fort Stevenson State Park
Kids can show off their fishing skills at the North Dakota Junior Governor's Cup Youth fishing derby held in the de Trobriand Marina. The derby is open to anyone aged 17 years old and younger.
Registration starts at 10:00 am on the lawn, fishing starts at 10:30 am. Multiple prizes are awarded. Participants may win in only one category.
A limited supply of loaner poles will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. The park recommends participants bring their own fishing rod if possible. Lunch will be served following the derby while supplies last. There is no event fee to participate.
The park does charge a $7 vehicle entrance fee unless a State Park Annual Pass is displayed.
