Don't miss Campers and Clay at Beaver Lake State Park this weekend! Visiting potter Robin Reynolds will be at the park as part of the Artist in Residence program holding hands-on demonstrations. As a rural potter, Robin harvests native clay to make pottery and glazes. Her Hebron, ND studio and salesroom, Dacotah Clayworks, is on old Highway 10 in a former Texaco station. A Rostered Artist with ND Council on the Arts and a former ceramics instructor, Reynolds offers an informative and positive experience for participants.
Both sessions will be held at the Northview Picnic Shelter in the Park
September 3 at 3 p.m.
Join Robin for a demonstration of large vessel throwing and all are invited to press painted handprints onto the vessel during the session.
September 4 at 10 a.m.
All ages are welcome for a hands-on exploration of clay form and techniques that will be enhanced with colorful underglazes and native clay slips. All materials are provided.
This project is supported in part by a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
