Photo Scavenger Hunt

See LMSP through Scott’s lenses as he shares the images he captured this week. Partake in a digital scavenger hunt by bringing your own camera or phone—a limited amount of extra cameras will be available. Afterwards, we’ll gather once again to compare photos. For those that wish, you’ll be able to print off a photo and take it home with you to remind you of your time spent at the state park. This activity is for all ages and skill levels. Please dress for the weather conditions. Meet in the Main Office building.

About the Artist:

Scott Seiler's work captures the surprising beauty of the iconic imagery of the state. Growing up on his family's ranch on the rugged, unspoiled prairie of western North Dakota, he learned to appreciate the importance of quiet observation.
Although not immune to the simple attractions of our horizontal vistas, his landscapes are often populated with the abandoned farmsteads or churches that dot the prairie. These poignant, physical reminders of a past rural lifestyle speak to us of lives lived trying to tame the land and survive the weather.
Seiler began his career as a broadcast journalist. He transferred his passion for videography to still photography. He exhibits widely throughout the region and is a partner member at Gallery 4 in Fargo. Seiler serves as a board member of The Arts Partnership in Fargo and currently works in marketing at Razor Tracking, a software company.

This project is supported in part by a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
