Sweetheart Hike

Looking for a special way to spend quality time with your loved one or the whole family? Join Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park for our annual Sweetheart Hike on Saturday, February 15 starting at 10 AM. The Visitor Center will open an hour before the hike for you to get settled in and purchase your annual ND Parks permits.

 

Start and End: The hike will begin at the Visitor Center and will conclude at the Commissary Store.

 

Hike length: Under 2 miles from the Visitor Center to the Commissary Store. Over 2 miles if individuals hike back to the Visitor Center.

The hike will NOT be stroller friendly.

 

Before or After the Hike: Explore our museum exhibits, shop at the Visitor Center or Commissary Store, and warm up with a hot drink at our limited coffee bar menu. Feel free to relax by our fire pits, enjoying the warmth and the company of loved ones.

 

Important Reminder: Be sure to dress warmly for winter conditions, as the hike will take you through the beautiful, but chilly outdoors.

The event is free of charge and open to the public. An annual or daily vehicle permit is required for park entrance and can be purchased online or at the park.
