National Trails Day events aim to bring together all trail enthusiasts, young and old, while honoring those who help maintain and preserve hiking trails for everyone to enjoy. Many of our parks will be hosting special trails events on Saturday, June 4.

Maple Sugaring Day

State park staff will demonstrate how to tap a tree, collect sap and turn it into delicious maple syrup. Hear about the history of maple syrup and the equipment used at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.
Leprechaun's Gold Geocache

Leprechaun Leap

Full Snow Moon Candlelight Hike

Categories: Fort Stevenson State ParkJoin in the first of four evening hikes planned at Fort Stevenson State Park. Experience a candlelit hike under the full moon in February known as the Snow Moon. Taking place on February 19, park staff will use candle luminaries to light the approximately one-mile trail, illuminated from 6-7:30 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. join us for a special light photography performance by artist Johnathan Campbell.
