Join in on the Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park Father's Day Hike on June 19 at 11 a.m. It is a great way to continue celebrating summer and a great way to honor our dads. The hike is about 1.75 miles and will start and end at the Infantry Post parking lot.
Learn different survival skills and compete against other campers to build shelters and fires. Join in our Father's Day Hike or take a geocaching crash course. Lots of fun to be had this weekend at Grahams Island!
All ages are welcome to the 30th Annual Missouri River Bluegrass Festival at Cross Ranch State Park. Grab a lawn chair and listen to live bluegrass music or participate in a music workshop.
Venture out to Fort Ransom State Park for this Halloween event. Trick-or-Treating will be held in the campground on Saturday night along with a variety of other activities throughout the weekend.
Participate in some learning activities, crafts and games centered around butterfly life cycles and identification.
Join us for a weekend learning about some "fun guys" that are neither plants nor animals, but are incredibly important in the world around us! On Friday, spread out to the Wildwood trailhead at 8:00 p.m. for a mushroom hike. On Saturday, sprout up at the Amphitheater at 10 a.m. for some fun(gi) crafts!
Incorporate nature in your wellness program! Learn the basics of finding edibles in your backyard and neighborhood and try a few games that blend fitness and fun. All programs are free with park entrance permit and you do not have to be camping to attend our programs.
Join us for a fun weekend at the lake where we'll be taking a closer look at predators, prey and nocturnal critters. There will also be discussions and hands-on activities related to tracks & tracking and a night hike for the park visitors that are night owls!
